In a new court filing, Apollonia claims that two months before Prince's overdose death, he was "adamant" she should keep using and performing under her name. The filing is part of a trademark dispute between Apollonia and the Prince Estate over the use of her name.

Apollonia's statement suggests that Prince was aware of the estate's efforts to control her name and was opposed to it. The Prince Estate has been trying to trademark Apollonia's name and has been in a dispute with her over the use of her stage name.

The filing also claims that Prince's estate has been trying to control Apollonia's music and has been interfering with her ability to perform and record music. Apollonia has been trying to assert her independence and has been working on new music.

The trademark dispute between Apollonia and the Prince Estate is ongoing, and it is unclear how it will be resolved. However, Apollonia's statement suggests that she is determined to protect her name and her music.
